Janet Napolitano, the head of Homeland Security dropped a bombshell in the wake of the attempted Christmas day airline bombing by a Nigerian terrorist. She said "Our system did not work in this instance".
Really?
That quote came a day after this one from her "One thing I'd like to point out is that the system worked."
Unbelievable.

Even in these days of unprecedented intrusions on our civil liberties we just can't get it right.

As arrogant and intrusive as the TSA agents are, how on earth did they miss a guy with explosives strapped to his legs? Was it a case of political correctness gone overboard? What the hell? This guy's own father warned US authorities that his son had “extreme religious views”.  No surprise that our incredibly massive yet inept government continues to display how to waste stolen income from taxpayers on bureaucratic cretins that are allegedly there to protect us.
