Wow, what a disturbing concept.
I grew up with two brothers that were in the military, one in the air force, the other in the marines and I would really like to believe that neither of them would follow an order that was both unconstitutional and immoral.
The one obvious thing that causes me to think that this might be possible is the shrinking availability of jobs in the private sextor.
I have not seen any statistics but the options for young high school and college grads have to be dwindling quickly.
It would stand to reason that alot of that group will be looking to the military as a way to survive wouldn't it?
I did read an article that said the income gap between private sector employment and the military has basically closed.

Even in these days of unprecedented intrusions on our civil liberties we just can't get it right.

As arrogant and intrusive as the TSA agents are, how on earth did they miss a guy with explosives strapped to his legs? Was it a case of political correctness gone overboard? What the hell? This guy's own father warned US authorities that his son had “extreme religious views”. No surprise that our incredibly massive yet inept government continues to display how to waste stolen income from taxpayers on bureaucratic cretins that are allegedly there to protect us.
